Context

The extension started out as a basic scanner.

I rebuilt it on Manifest V3 as a full DevTools panel, so developers can find accessibility issues where they already work and see them highlighted on the page.

How it works

run scanDevTools panelReactExtension coreManifest V3Page scriptsscan · highlightIframessame treatment
  • DevTools panelrun scanExtension core

Step 1 / 3

  1. I rebuilt it on Manifest V3 as a DevTools panel instead of a one-click scanner.

  2. Keyboard and tab-order scans move through the page the way someone without a mouse would.

  3. Issues are highlighted right on the page, including inside iframes.

Outcome

  • 3K+ users and a 4.9 rating.
  • It now covers keyboard, tab order and iframes, which the old scanner didn’t.
